Our plans for the new Preclinical MRI Senior Scientist:

As a Preclinical MRI Senior Scientist, you will be a key team player on running and establishing preclinical MRI imaging protocols, processing pipelines and key driver for all MRI related operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in preclinical MRI with hands on experience in running preclinical in-vivo MRI experiments and data/image analysis.

You will be joining an interdisciplinary team driving technological innovation of the company. 

 

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our customers and the Business Development team to determine the optimal imaging protocol for our imaging studies
  • Implement cutting-edge MRI acquisition protocols/studies
  • Being responsible for the daily operation and quality of MRI related studies in small and large animals
  • Implement cutting-edge MRI acquisition protocols/studies
  • Establish complex image analysis and processing pipelines in collaboration with our data scientists and software developers
  • Instruct team members to run preclinical MRI scans on diverse animal models in complex studies, ensuring proper positioning, image quality, and adherence to study protocols
  • Process and analyse MRI data using specialized software packages to extract relevant information for research projects
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for MRI equipment and software as needed and train team members
  • Manage projects and studies in various areas (oncology, CNS, cardiovascular) of the business
  • Act as key technology expert to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including researchers, scientists, and project managers, to design and execute preclinical imaging studies
  • Establish new methods and present results in conferences and other media

 

Experience:

  • Hands on experience with in-vivo MRI (necessary requirement)
  • Thorough understanding of MRI (ability to apply MRI theory to practical experiments)
  • Experience with various animal disease models
  • Applications from candidates of all experience levels are encouraged, and the position will be tailored to align with the selected candidate's level of expertise.

 

Qualifications:

  • M.Sc or Ph.d. in natural science, preferably previous working experience
  • Knowledge of proper animal handling and ethics in preclinical research
  • Problem-solving and make-it-work attitude
  • Good team player and eager to learn
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and service-oriented organization
  • FELASA qualification is a plus
  • Make deadlines happen
